IUOE Local 727 is proud to recognize Peter Simms as our July Member of the Month!

Peter, a dedicated Primary Care Paramedic based out of the New Germany PTU, has been serving his community with compassion and professionalism for an incredible 35 years. His experience and commitment make him a valued member of both our union and the broader emergency services team.

In addition to his career in paramedicine, Peter is a Level 1 Firefighter and holds a diploma in forestry—a testament to his diverse skills and lifelong dedication to public service.

A resident of Simms Settlement, Peter is a proud family man with two daughters, three grandchildren, and three stepsons. He shares his life with his common-law wife and their small dog, who completes their busy, loving household.

When he’s off duty, Peter enjoys getting outdoors—whether it’s boating, four-wheeling, or traveling. His passion for adventure and the natural world reflects the same energy and spirit he brings to his work and community.
